Wonder Woman YAS KWEEN

I've always considered superhero movies to be quite fun and entertaining. Something about the shiny and good personality of most of these larger than life characters really engages me. However, ever since the newest DC Comics movies came out (Man of Steel, Batman vs. Superman, Suicide Squad), I haven't really been very interested in watching them. Superman has never been my favorite and I feel like nothing will ever be better than Nolan's Batman, so I haven't wanted to re-visit Gotham. However, when Wonder Woman came out a few weeks ago with rave reviews, I knew I couldn't pass this one up. And boy am I glad I didn't.

I have to say I've been a little obsessed with the movie ever since watching it, for several reasons:

1. Gal Gadot, Wonder Woman herself, is spectacular in her role. Plus, she's so attractive it's almost impossible to look away from her the entire movie.

2. Gal and Chris Pine's chemistry is ON FIRE. They are wholesome and cute, but are still really hot together. I ship it (not IRL - she married).

3. GIRL POWER. This is probably the biggest reason I've been thinking about this movie non-stop. I had never seen such a portrayal of feminine strength on the big screen. EVER. And it was so inspiring, I've even started doing push ups and burpees.

I've never liked working out and though I'm overweight, I'm currently not so stressed about it. I've been working out on the elliptical 30 minutes, 3 times a week and I've been feeling pretty good. It's not a lot but it keeps my joints greased. However, after watching this movie, I'm so motivated to work out and I've realized it's because I want to feel STRONG, not because I want to lose weight. That'd be a bonus (or a bingo! like Gal Gadot would say - I've watched all her interviews omg), but what I really want is to feel like I can do anything with my body.

I feel like I'll probably have to watch the movie periodically to remember why I felt this way... To Be Continued...
