A Change

“There will be a change in your life, a change for the better”

For the past months, this sentence has appeared on my natal chart readings every single day. And while time has felt a bit suspended post-hurricane, I certainly feel the change. My last post, Dear Universe, gives a glimpse of the change that my life has faced. For the first time in possibly 15 years, I feel connected to my spirituality. I meditate, pray, set good intentions, light candles and create vision boards. 15 years ago, I prayed to a God that I feared. A God that I thought would punish me for my thoughts. Now, I don’t believe in that god, but I do believe that there is energy out there in the world and that I’m fully capable of harnessing it and taking my life in the direction I want it to go. And little miracles have begun happening. Some big ones, too.

Without TV, Internet or much to do, I’ve had a lot of time to think in the last two months. Of course, the question of staying or going came up, and I realized something. I will FOREVER ask myself this question if I don’t get up and DO IT. I have always wanted to move to NYC and explore a career in pop culture related topics but fear has crippled me for so long. Well, NO MORE. I am ready for the next step in my life and I am positive that it entails living in NYC, having a job I adore, and FINALLY embracing all the weird and queer inside of me.

I’m excited and grateful about the changes for the better I have received already, but I KNOW that the best is yet to come and I’m thrilled. I can’t wait!!!!!!!
